Happy Labor Day to everyone in the USA!

Let us remember that work isn’t a curse, but a beautiful way to imitate the LORD in His creation of the world and universe.

I thank everyone who has worked for me and with me in both the private and public sectors.

Of course, God Almighty created all natural resources. Yet almost everything we own, eat and drink, and the utilities and services that help us to survive in this world, come from the labor of men and women.

However, way too many Americans are suffering unemployment. Therefore, I humbly ask you to pray for all God’s people who need good jobs. I humbly ask you to pray that He and employers will help them in the best possible ways.

I’m concerned about people with disabilities too. As noted in my book, I am partially disabled from combat injuries. Nevertheless, I know that God granted me and my wife Joy the ability to run a business and use the talents He gave us.

Below I am placing sacred scripture to remind us about the dignity of human work. It’s quite awesome to ponder that God gave us dominion over the world and that He made us to work in different ways suited to our talents and skills.

Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness; and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth.” So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. And God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth and subdue it; and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the air and over every living thing that moves upon the earth.” And God said, “Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree with seed in its fruit; you shall have them for food. And to every beast of the earth, and to every bird of the air, and to everything that creeps on the earth, everything that has the breath of life, I have given every green plant for food.” And it was so. And God saw everything that he had made, and behold, it was very good. And there was evening and there was morning, a sixth day. (Genesis 1:26-31)
